Dear C Ompact, You have been granted an account on the Swinburne OzSTAR facility. Account details are: username: compact. Connection to the facility is by ssh to ozstar.swin.edu.au (the head node). Before getting started please read the local userguide at: https://supercomputing.swin.edu.au/docs/. In particular you should: - change your password immediately upon first login; - stay aware of the terms and conditions of use (which may change); - acknowledge the facility in all related publications; - be aware that your usage and the behaviour of your jobs on the system can impact the performance of the system as a whole. Thus it is ESSENTIAL that you carefully read the userguide. Any problems or requests for software that is not available can be sent to hpc-support at swin.edu.au and will be dealt with as soon as possible. You also have a home directory at: /home/compact Note that before your account can be fully functional you will need to be a member of a project. If you have not already done so, please return to the account management page to submit a request to join the appropriate project. This step will require approval from the project leader (they will be sent an email) so you should make sure that they are already aware of the impending request. Please wait for this process to be completed prior to starting work on the supercomputer. Also note that your account may be connected to more than one project. In this case, as you login you will need to select a project for your session (if different to the default). The selected project will be the unix group which will own any files created during the session. It will also be the project charged for any computing time used during the session. Regards, The Swinburne HPC Support Team
