Hi
I haven't thought deeply about this, since it requires
coordination with all stations, including ALMA, GLT, LMT.
I leave it to Helge to answer this and I cc to gmvatech.
Of course the band should include the standard sky frequency range
86012.00 -> 86524.00 MHz.
Since the wideband recording is an untested add-on, please make sure that
standard setup, circular polarisation performance and data transfer is not
affected in any bad way. We don't want to corrupt approved proposals.
Helge: The larger bandwidth may affect polarisation. I guess the circular polarizers
are calculated for optimal performance within our 512 MHz band. I don't know
how the cross-polarisation changes outside this band. Owing to limitations at
the correlator, we should avoid polarisation conversion from other stations than
ALMA and LMT.
kind regards, Thomas
